The Williams College Department of Music presents the Williams Chamber Players in a concert on Friday, October 27, at 8 p.m. in Brooks-Rogers Recital Hall on the Williams College campus. This free event is open to the public.
Bass-Baritone Keith Kibler is the featured vocalist for a selection of songs inspired by the poetry of Heinrich Heine and set to music by Franz Schubert, Schwanengesang. Doris Stevenson collaborates on piano. The second half features Olivier Messiaen's powerful work Quartet for the End of Time (1941) with Joanna Kurkowicz, violin; Paul Green, clarinet; Nathaniel Parke, cello; and Doris Stevenson, piano. The ensemble caps the concert with Schubert String Trio Movement in B flat Major D 471 featuring Muneko Otani, violin; Ah Ling Neu, viola; Ronald Feldman, cello.
