Williams Chamber Players

The Williams College Department of Music presents the Williams Chamber Players in a concert on Friday, October 27, at 8 p.m. in Brooks-Rogers Recital Hall on the Williams College campus. This free event is open to the public.

Opening the concert is bass-baritone Keith Kibler singing a selection inspired by the poetry of Heinrich Heine and set to music by Franz Schubert, Schwanengesang. Doris Stevenson collaborates on piano. The evening continues with Schubert and his String Trio D 471 featuring Muneko Otani, violin; Ah Ling Neu, viola; and Ronald Feldman, cello. The second half features Olivier Messiaen’s powerful work Quartet for the End of Time (1941) with Joanna Kurkowicz, violin; Paul Green, clarinet; Nathaniel Parke, cello; and Doris Stevenson, piano.

The Williams Chamber Players is a faculty chamber music ensemble at Williams. The ensemble offers performers and audiences the opportunity to explore chamber music over a range of periods and styles. Distinguished performance faculty share the joy of making music together to the delight of student and community audiences. The Williams Chamber Players was founded in 1999 and is coordinated by Doris Stevenson.
