“What the Bees are Saying”

Dewey Caron, PhD, University of Delaware. Nov. 1, 7 p.m. Physics 203.  Dr. Dewey M. Caron is Emeritus Professor of Entomology and Wildlife Ecology, University of Delaware, and Affiliate Professor, Department of Horticulture Oregon State University. He has spent 40 years plus teaching, doing bee extension and bee research at Cornell (1967-1981) and University of Delaware (1981-2009). He spends 4-6 months each year in Bolivia where he keeps Africanized bees, time on the east coast USA teaching at beekeeping schools and lectures in Portland Oregon. Dr. Caron grew up in Stamford VT, attended UVM, B.A. in Zoology, University of TN M.S. Ecology and Cornell University Ph.D in Entomology. He taught/teaches at the University of Maryland, University of Delaware and Oregon State University.
