Wanting Where

This piece journeys through an original but familiar narrative. Through simple actions, silly pratfalls, and mixed media “Wanting Where” hopes to reintroduce its audience to the joys of visual storytelling and their childhood affection for adventure and make-believe. It also seeks to move beyond children’s theatre by touching upon the sides of growing up that are only evident in hindsight –themes of change, loss, and nostalgia are all central to its storyline. Perhaps this is an obvious focus for a senior thesis, but in an attempt not to lose my marbles by worrying about the future, I wanted to explore all the places that have led me to where I am now. So please, humor a nerve-ridden, soon-to-be graduate while her play attempts to humor you!
