Johnisa Swaby Digital Art Straight from Miami, Florida, Johnisa Swaby is an emerging visual artist who thrives in the digital realm. Swaby’s energetic series of digital abstractions will excite and dazzle audiences of all ages. Touching on sacred geometries and graphic synthesis, the works curated for this show are pulled straight from Swaby’s vault of images which reads like a Fort Knox of new techniques and cutting edge technologies. The works will be displayed on the first floor along the curved wall of Corridor 62’ Gallery @ the 62 Center for Theater and Dance with visibility through the large windows. The proposed programmatic design includes printing a graphic for the window and possibly bringing the artist up for a talk, neither of which is reflected in the project budget below.
ABOUT CORRIDOR
‘62 Corridor ‘62 at the ‘62 Center for Theater & Dance was envisioned as a space where the community would share and engage with visual and interdisciplinary art. With this mission in mind, the Corridor ‘62 gallery was conceived as an exhibition space to expand access to the visual arts across the Williams College community and engage the public with works of art that embody the values of the ‘62 Center. This space displays artwork created by underrepresented artists at various points in their careers. Corridor ‘62 is led by independent curatorial consultant Shawnette Smalls and a team of guest curators and volunteers.
