Students of Muneko Otani offer an afternoon of classic works for violin.
Ana Garcia Strong ‘22 plays Tommaso Vitali’s Ciaccone for violin and piano with Bob Logan, piano.
Benny Weng ‘22, violin; Muneko Otani, violin; and Bob Logan, piano offer the Vivace from J.S. Bach Concerto for two violins BWV 1043 in D Minor.
Bela Bartok’s Romanian Dances, always a favorite, is performed by Fiona Keller ‘21, violin together with Bob Logan, piano.
Sophie Lu ‘19, violin, and Dalton Yu ’22, piano offer the first and third movements of Edouard Lalo’s Symphonie Espagnole in D Minor, op. 21
Cesar Franck’s Violin Sonata in A Major, first and second movement, are played by Teresa Yu ‘20, violin and Bob Logan, piano.
Next comes Pablo de Sarasate’s Introduction and Tarantella op. 43 performed by Louisa Nyhus ‘20, violin, and Bob Logan, piano.
Ralph Vaughan Williams’s beautiful Lark Ascending is played by Audrey Koh ‘21, violin; Bob Logan, piano
The studio ends the program with Violin Concerto in A Minor, op. 82 by Alexander Glazunov, played by Lucca Delcompare ‘20, violin, and Bob Logan, piano.
