The Game of Duel: When Should You Shoot? by Jimmy Li ’24 & Sammy Sasaki ’24, Wednesday November 1, 1:00 – 1:50pm, North Science Building 113, Wachenheim

Duel is a two-player game where each player approaches each other with a weapon and the goal is to hit your opponent before they hit you. In our talk, we first consider the case where both players have one bullet each, and then generalizing to m and n bullets to determine the optimal time to shoot for each player. We then consider variations of the traditional Duel game and applications in other fields.
