You are invited to join the WGSS community to celebrate Julia Blike’s honors thesis “The Forest is Ours”: Toward a New Visual Politics of Sovereignty within Indigenous Photographic Projects. Julia will present work on her thesis, asking: “What would it mean to reimagine Indigenous sovereignty and temporality through visual media? How can photographers who employ Indigenous methodologies contest settler-colonial constructions of Indigenous identities, existences, and resistance?”
