The DC Block Party is back! Tuesday 09-10-24 5pm-8pm ALL ARE WELCOME!

The DC is excited to invite everyone to celebrate the new school year at their Block Party.  The party has moved to the Morley Circle area (Hopper Science Center, new DC buildings) and we’ll fill the outdoor spaces with great things including: a bounce house, yard games (Wiffleball anyone?!), live student group performances and a variety of delicious snacks.

This year we’re also adding a few new neighbors and activities as well.  There will be a drum circle (with plenty of drums to share, but if you have your own, feel free to bring it) and our new neighbors in the chemistry department will be doing some SWEET science experiments (liquid nitrogen ice cream)!  Beyond all that, many MinCo groups will be tabling for new recruits and allies for their organizations: meet awesome people!  Some of our old neighbors from the Bascom Court days will be joining us as well (once a neighbor always a neighbor!) but they may have new things up their sleeves, too!

Food includes: Spice Root, BB’s Hotspot, Maestries Munchies and Chef’s Hat!  We will make sure there’s something for everyone!

Special note:

We are still looking for a DJ to mix music during the event: write nrm4 for details.  Additionally, if any other student performers/groups would like to share, also write nrm4.
