Outer Space, Outer Time is the product of seven weeks of intensive training and coursework by the ten undergraduate members of the STUDIO’62 company. Under the direction of Artistic Program Director Kevin O’Rourke, Outer Space, Outer Time showcases original plays alongside work by established playwrights, including a play by Amanda Keating ’12, who led this year’s playwriting workshop with the STUDIO’62 company. The evening of student-generated work includes exploration in dance, movement, multimedia performance and translation. Taking audiences from the bottom of a bungee jump to the top of a volcano, Outer Space, Outer Time explores how we connect in challenging circumstances, and the way this connection informs our shared humanity.
The plays and scenes will be performed by the student members of the STUDIO’62 company: Tobias Delgado ’21, Lily Goldberg ’22, Olivia Graceffa ’22, Kara Hadden ’22, Charlie Kerzner ’22, Peter Matsumoto ’21, Maye McPhail ’22, Abigail Murray-Stark ’22, Mira Sneirson ’22 and Benjamin Weber ’21.
