Dr. Sharpe will discuss a variety of research projects she has been involved in from her early work in biomedical research to her later work in analyzing suppressor variables, validity of rankings, indicators of entrepreneurship in the Middle East, and her recent work in risk management in higher education.  This colloquium is aimed at students majoring in a variety of majors, including mathematics, statistics, economics, and others — and will conclude with research advice for students interested in pursuing a research agenda.
