Sentiment Analysis and Latent Dirichlet Allocation by Paul Hwang ’20, Wednesday, October 9, Statistics Colloquium, 1:10 – 1:50 pm, Stetson Court Classroom 110
Abstract: With the introduction of big data, the type of data we accumulate is no longer simply numerical: instead, we obtain data of words to identify what the series of words can tell about the topic of interest. The topic will cover a different methodology of creating a prediction based on the common sentiment, along with the theory behind this technique.
