SelCom Information Session! Learn how to help shape the entry system without being a JA yourself!

The Junior Advisor Advisory Board (JAAB) encourages and welcomes any student who will be on campus for Winter Study to apply for the JA Selection Committee (SelCom)! While not everyone may be interested in participating in the entry system directly, many people are still invested in its future. Serving on SelCom is a great way to help shape the future class of JAs, and the entry system, without being a JA yourself. SelCom is a group of current Sophomores (who are not applying to become JAs), Juniors, and Seniors who meet as a Winter Study course to review JA applications and peer recommendations, conduct interviews of candidates, and ultimately nominate the next class of Junior Advisors.
The meeting should last less than an hour. You will receive more information about the committee, hear about the various experiences and perspectives from a panel of former members, and be able to ask questions—which we encourage you to do! We will discuss the expected workload, time commitment, and confidentiality agreement.
