The Society for Conservative Thought is excited to host a lecture by Notre Dame Professor Patrick Deneen on “Regime Change and the Future of Liberalism.” Patrick Deneen is a distinguished political theorist and the author of Why Liberalism Failed (2018) and Regime Change: Towards a Postliberal Future (2023). The event will be co-sponsored by the Political Science Department and Phi Beta Kappa. Professor Deneen holds a BA and PhD from Rutgers University. Professor Deneen was a professor at Princeton and Georgetown before joining the faculty of Notre Dame in 2012. Deneen was awarded the A.P.S.A.’s Leo Strauss Award for Best Dissertation in Political Theory in 1995. He is a leading public intellectual whose ideas have much media attention and influenced many prominent policymakers in DC.
