Quasi-Excellent Rings that are not Excellent and Catenary Rings that are not Universally Catenary by Prof. Susan Loepp, October 26, Mathematics Faculty Seminar, Stetson Court Classroom 105
Abstract: It is difficult to construct quasi-excellent rings that are not excellent
and catenary rings that are not universally catenary. In this talk, we’ll discuss
a new method to construct such rings. This work is joint with the SMALL 2017
commutative algebra group.
