Welcome and Welcome Back to the Program in Teaching

Like nearly everything else, this fall’s Program in Teaching Events will take place in a new way. We will announce each event in a daily message, a week or two before it happens.  We expect to have three or four events total, and while some will occur in the usual noontime slot (minus the served lunch of course), a few of them will be scheduled in the late afternoon or early evening.  Though we’ll miss the chance to share food while we talk, we hope the greater scheduling flexibility will allow more people to join the events, and provide more time for one-on-one advising and mentoring.  Most importantly, the first event for this year gives us a chance to welcome ….. Kelsey Jones ’08, Distinguished Visiting Professor of  Education.  Prof. Jones will present, An Introduction to Racial Literacy,” on Wednesday, September 16,  from noon – 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 8 p.m.  (In order to accommodate varying schedules, Prof. Jones will lead this interactive event twice)

Below is the Zoom Link for the event (whether you join at noon or 7 p.m.). You are welcome to buy a cup of coffee or tea on our tab at Tunnel City, and bring it to the event. More info on that will be on the Daily Message next week.
