October 15 is Planning Day: Create the Williams of the Future!

What does the Williams of 2030 look like? What should it look like? Help create the answer: drop in for a workshop, join a Design Thinking session, or stay for the day. Plus… plancakes? Don’t miss this chance to shape the college’s best future!

9:30–10:00 a.m.
Coffee and breakfast (featuring “plancakes”!)

10:00–10:45 a.m.
Opening Remarks: Welcome and brief overview from President Mandel and representatives of the working groups and academic initiatives.

11:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
Workshops with Colleagues: three concurrent sessions where faculty, staff and students can each work together to strategize and brainstorm the Williams of a decade from now.

12:30–1:30 p.m.
Working Lunch: join community members in break-out sessions to discuss a variety of strategic planning topics.

1:30–3:00 p.m.
Workshops for Academic Initiatives and Working Groups: Pick one of the 11 themes and jump into the conversation.

3:15–3:30 p.m.
Closing remarks led by President Mandel, with end-of-day treats

We’ll also offer four 40-45 minute Design Thinking workshops between 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. where mixed groups of faculty, staff and students can explore ways of designing Williams’ future. Space is limited: Express your interest and you’ll be notified if you’re assigned to one of the groups.
