Nowhere Differentiable Continuous Functions by Joshua Gilkenson ’19, Monday, December 10, 2018, Mathematics Colloquium, 1 – 1:45 pm, Stetson Court Classroom 101.

Abstract:  For years, it was thought that all continuous functions were differentiable except at some set of points over an interval. In the 19th century, it was discovered that functions do exist which are differentiable at no points.  Since, many functions have been constructed which fulfill these conditions such as the Bolzano function, Weierstrass’ Function, and Takagi’s Function.
