This year's German and Austrian Film Festival explores "Neuland/New Territories" with two feature films and one documentary. In tonight's film, Vor der Morgenröte or Stefan Zweig: Farewell to Europe, director Maria Schrader narrates the life of Austrian writer Stefan Sweig in exile between 1936 – 42. Driven into emigration at the peak of his worldwide fame, it’s a story of a refugee, a tale of losing one’s homeland, and of the search for a new one. In German with English subtitles.
