Models in Population Genetics by Elise Root ’23, Mathematics Colloquium, Monday, October 3, 1 – 1:45 pm, North Science Building 113, Wachenheim.
Abstract: Population genetics is the study of the genetic variation within a population and how it changes over time. It can be used in many applications, including to study evolution and for population conservation. This talk will look at models that provide a framework for understanding population genetics mathematically.
