Meet Tinky Weisblat at The Williams Bookstore, try her tasty treats, and get her book, Love, Laughter, and Rhubarb.

Writer and singer, Tinky is a rhubarb expert and aficionada. She is the author of Love, Laughter, and Rhubarb, a rhubarb cookbook. In her book she shares some of her reasons for loving rhubarb: its taste, its place as one of the first crops of the agricultural year, and above all its versatility. This sweet/tart plant can be made into just about anything, sweet or savory. Tinky is the author of three other books, The Pudding Hollow Cookbook, Pulling Taffy, and Pot Luck: Random Acts of Cooking. She writes with heart and humor tries to use her knowledge of American history and culture in everything she writes. She frequently cooks on the WWLP-TV show “Mass Appeal,” where she is famous for her colorful hats. She is known to readers and television viewers as the Diva of Deliciousness.

Tinky lives in Hawley, Massachusetts, with a cat named Rhubarb and a dog named Cocoa. She has a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Tennessee and a Ph.D. in American studies from the University of Texas.

Tinky will serve nibbles from her book at The Williams Bookstore. And if anyone twists her arm (it won’t take much twisting), she will be happy to sing about rhubarb.
