Identifying Regulators of Schizophrenia Disease State Using Combined Latent Variable Analysis and Causal Graph Learning by Madeline Ohl ’23, Mathematics Colloquium, Monday, September 26, 1 – 1:45 pm, North Science Building 113, Wachenheim.

Abstract:  High-dimensional genomics and proteomics datasets are often used to investigate the biological mechanism of complex diseases like schizophrenia. Modern multivariate analysis and causal learning techniques reveal the underlying structure of these high-dimensional datasets, allowing the identification of molecular species directly associated with disease.
