Manuel Morales, Professor of Biology, to give 2019 Sigma Xi Talk on Mutualism
Fri, October 25th, 2019

Mutualisms are interactions between species where both partners benefit, i.e., “good-good.” Despite the short-term positive effect of mutualism, theory suggests that mutualism may nevertheless be destabilizing in the long term. In his talk, Morales will outline the theoretical basis for predictions of instability in mutualism, and present results from his own work that test these predictions.
