Workshop 1 (@5:30-6:15pm, March 4) | The Political Act of Vulnerability: What makes a poem vulnerable? What is the risk of such vulnerability? What about vulnerability is political? Through discussion and writing exercises, students will understand the importance and strength of vulnerability in poetry, and what makes a poem “vulnerable.”

Workshop 2 (@6:15-7:00pm, March 4) | Writing Your History: There are moments in our lives that shape who we are today. Sometimes it’s difficult to accurately tell this story. Our history is a part of us and at the same time, it haunts us, reminds us of those times when we were at our lowest. In this workshop, we will discuss and do exercises to write our history. We will learn ways to take control of our stories.
