Olga Shevchenko, Paul H. Hunn `55 Professor in Social Studies, shares the story of her book In Visible Presence Soviet Afterlives in Family Photos, co-authored with Oksana Sarkisova and talks about the decade-long research process that involved fieldwork and interviews, as well as internet ethnography, media analysis, and case studies and reflects on the process of writing this book.
