Karin Meyers (Dept. of Religion, Smith College) will present a public lecture on the relevance of Buddhist practices to facing the ongoing climate emergency. The title of her lecture will be “Buddhist Practice in an Age of Ecological Crisis.” All are welcome! The talk will take place in Griffin 3, at 7pm on Wednesday, November 20. In addition to her visiting position at Smith College, Prof. Meyers is also a Retreat Support Fellow at the Insight Meditation Society in Barre, MA and an Affiliate Faculty member of the Centre for Buddhist Studies at Rangjung Yeshe Institute, Kathmandu, Nepal. This event is co-sponsored by CES and the Department of Religion.
