On March 12th, the Black Student Union will host Prof. Joshua Myers for a lecture on Sterling Brown. The lecture, titled “A Blue(s) (Note) for Sterling Brown,” will take place in Griffin 3 on March 12th at 4 pm. His talk will serve as a connector between BSU’s Black History Month programming and Africana Studies’ 50th Year Anniversary programming in April.
Prof. Myers is an accomplished and esteemed scholar of Afro-American Studies at Howard University, where Sterling Brown taught for most of his career after graduating from Williams. His work analyzes the trajectory and genealogy of the Black Radical Tradition with a historical, theoretical, and critical lens.
