Jazz Voice Studio Recital

Led by Artist Associate in Jazz Voice Samirah Evans, young artists take the stage for a performance of standards from the great American songbook. Backed by a band that includes Ben Kohn, piano; Dan Broad, bass; Brian Levine ’16, drums; Jack Ferguson ’18, saxophone, talented student vocalists Diane Kim ’16, Phoebe Mattana ’18, Isabel Hanson ’16, Sofia Smith ’18, and Justin Smilan ’18 perform classics by Irving Berlin like Cheek to Cheek, and Blue Skies; standards by Jobim like Corcovado and Girl From Ipanema, and many other compositons by famous composers like Johnny Mercer, Duke Ellington, and Billie Holiday.
