Iterative Prisoner’s Dilemma and the Folk Theorem by Ethan Hyatt ’21, Mathematics Colloquium, Wednesday, March 3, 1:30 – 2:15 pm, talk can be accessed through the Mathematics Colloquium Glow page
Abstract: While it is optimal to not cooperate with the other person in the Prisoner’s Dilemma, the Folk Theorem states that in repeated games players reach a Nash equilibrium by cooperating. In addition to the Folk Theorem, other factors come into play during the decision making process when the game is repeated an indefinite number of times instead of only being played once.
