Read excerpts from Braiding Sweetgrass with Sidra Mahmood, Muslim Chaplain, and Alex Martone, Sustainability Coordinator, and join the Williams community & beyond to have meaningful discussions at the intersection of the environment, faith, spirituality, and ethics in preparation for Claiming Williams Day 2025. All are welcome irrespective of their religious, spiritual, or ethical affiliation to learn, share, and grow through the Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge and the Teachings of Plants. Meetings will be held once a week on Wednesdays, 4-5PM, from January 22nd – February 19th. Please fill out this form to indicate your interest in participating.

- February 5th: Epiphany in the Beans, The Teachings of Grass (optional: Picking Sweetgrass (p. 121-204))
- February 12th: In the Footsteps of Nanbozho: Becoming Indigenous to Place (optional: Braiding Sweetgrass (p. 205-302))
- February 19th: Windigo Footprints (optional: Burning Sweetgrass (p. 303. 374))
