- This event has passed.

This course is a participant-observation experience in which students work full-time for a governmental or nongovernmental organization or for a political campaign. Students may find placements in government and nonprofit organizations in which their work involves significant involvement with public issues. The Center For Learning in Action already has a few opportunities provided such as designing and running a SERVSAFE coaching program for our Dining Services, conducting benchmarking research regarding the marijuana industry, and mentoring at-risk teens in Pittsfield. View existing opportunities here. Students may also work along with the instructors to create their own unique opportunities! View the Syllabus here.
