I/O New Music Fest 2015

The Williams College Department of Music presents I/O New Music Fest ’15, a three-day festival of adventurous new music from around the globe. The festival includes concerts with world premieres, music of many composers, performances by the I/O Ensemble and IOTA, and a special guest ensemble-in-residence. The festival runs from Thursday, Jan. 8 through Saturday, Jan. 10 on the Williams campus. All events are free and open to the public. Neither tickets nor reservations are required.

This first concert on Thursday, January 8 at 8 p.m. in the CenterStage at the ’62 Center for Theatre and Dance presents theI/O Ensemble.

The I/O Festival of New Music continues with a late evening performance in the Dance Studio of the ’62 Center for Theater and Dance.

On Friday, January 9 at 8 p.m. in the CenterStage at the ’62 Center for Theatre and Dance, the I/O New Music Fest 2015 presents the Talea Ensemble performing Georges Aperghis’s Happy End.

IOTA Ensemble stands center stage at 8 p.m. in the CenterStage at the ’62 Center for Theatre and Dance. They performs new works by young composers, ensemble members, resident composers, and Williams faculty members.
