Gabriela Ruiz and Oscar Chavez in conversation with Isabel Kuh’23
Thu, October 14th, 2021
5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
- This event has passed.
This program is part of “charm bracelet,” a multi-event experimental and ephemeral independent project curated by Isabel Kuh ’23 and centered on emerging Latinx artists working with ideas of camp and envisioning alternative mediums in alternative spaces. Focusing on ideas of materiality and opulence as both a way of being and mode of making, the embodiment of glamour, and much more, Chavez and Ruiz bring a vibrant and radical sensibility to the creation of art objects and spaces with lives of their own.
Presented by the Art Department Class of 1960 Scholars, the Dively Committee, Latino/a/x Studies, WGSS, CLiA, the Davis Center, Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Lecture Committee, the Oakley Center for Humanities and Social Sciences, the Class of ’46 Memorial Lecture Fund
