Gabriel Ramirez is a queer Afro-Latinx spoken word poet and activist based in New York City and is nationally acclaimed. His poetry examines matters of race, sexuality, class, and faith, crafting critiques against the systems that uphold the structural injustices built into America. His writing is raw, his delivery powerful, and his advocacy unflinching. We’re super excited to be bringing him to campus and feel this is an important event considering the campus climate currently.

The event will be taking place in Griffin 3 this Thursday at 7PM.

This event is made possible through the contributions of Africana Studies Department, WGSS Department, English Department, MinCo, College Council, and SpeakFree. This event is in collaboration with BSU and Vista.
