Professor Maxine Burkett, Former Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Oceans, Fisheries and Polar Affairs. Professor of Law, University of Hawaiʻi, on loan to the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. Elizabeth Kolbert, author of several books including The Sixth Extinction, is a staff writer at The New Yorker magazine, and previously at the New York Times.
