Dance Workshop: Dunham Technique, Afro-Modern Dance - RESCHEDULED

Saroya Corbett, Bolin Fellow of Dance, will share again with the Williams community her expertise in Dunham Technique, an Afro-Modern dance technique. As a certified instructor in and a life-long practitioner of Dunham Technique, Saroya will discuss the dance technique as a holistic practice and the work of Katherine Dunham, the technique’s creator. During this experience, Saroya will combine scholarship with the embodied experience. Therefore, participants should be prepared to learn and engage in a Dunham Technique dance class. There will also be space for participants to observe the presentation and movement class.
