Anna Lenti leads the Williams Concert Choir in a performance of Requiem by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart that includes student soloists and an accompanying orchestra. The evening also features student composers showcasing new compositions for choir.

The first half of the Concert Choir’s spring concert presents compositions by winners of the first annual Williams Student Choral Composer Competition: Les Yeux Gris, by Francesca Hellerman ’23; Come by the Hills, by Leo Marburg ’24; O Captain! My Captain!, by Sally Neugarten ’26, and Marble Sea, by Matt Wisotsky ’23. Student conductors for these exciting world premieres are Emily Ham ’23, Francesca Hellerman ’23, Carolyn Mielke ’23, and Nate Welsh ’26.

The second half of the concert features a performance of the Süssmayer completion of the Requiem by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Williams Concert Choir and an orchestra of students and professionals feature student soloists: Emily Ham ’23, soprano; Leah Rosenmann ’24, mezzo-soprano; Oliver Hall ’23, tenor; and Carl May ’25, baritone.

Williams College has long had a fine tradition of music performance in its choral ensembles. The choral program has much to offer students interested in singing, with a number of performances throughout the year, a wide range of repertoire, recordings and tours.
