Combinatorics. Bring a Pencil by Prof. Daniel Condon, Williams College, Wednesday July 3, 1:00 – 1:40pm, North Science Building 113, Wachenheim

Abstract: Combinatorics is the mathematical study of discrete structures. Its major themes are counting, construction, optimization, and transformation. We will explore many problems, including the motivating problem for the research of the Polyominoes SMALL group this summer. Bring a pencil and paper. If you are truly fearless, bring a pen.
