CoDa, under the direction of Erica Dankmeyer and Janine Parker, will perform an exciting program of works by faculty and students, as well as a work staged for CoDa by visiting guests Wendy Rein and Ryan T. Smith, artistic directors of the San Francisco-based RAWdance. Rein and Smith will perform their stunning and moving duet, “After 5:00” on the CoDa program. Other works include the reconstruction of Dankmeyer’s “Treeline” (2002), a work inspired by John Williams’ concerto “The Five Sacred Trees,” which unfolds in five movements based on different symbolic trees from ancient Celtic mythology, and a new work by Parker which explores loss and the fluidity of time, and is set to music by Franz Schubert. This year’s student choreographers include company members Isaac Johnson, Sierra McDonald ’16, and TA Madison Weist ’15. Join us on the journey!
