The Geosciences Dept Annual Environmental Justice Lecture speaker is Dr. Laura Ruhl, Associate Professor in the Department of Earth Sciences, University of Arkansas, Little Rock. Dr. Ruhl is recognized nationally as a multidisciplinary scientist who uses field and laboratory methods to solve challenges created by the societal impacts of mining, urban anthropogenic activities, and coal combustion residuals on the environment. She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Arkansas, Little Rock.
