The Williams College Department of Music presents the Chinese Music Ensemble. The concert takes place in Brooks-Rogers Recital Hall at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25. This free event is open to the public.
A classical piece for pipa-zheng duet called A Moonlit River in Spring sets the tone for this performance, which highlights the final performance of featured soloist Bingyi Wang ’18, zheng.
The Chinese Music Ensemble performs traditional sizhu music–music of silk and bamboo–using instruments such as pipa, erhu, dizi, zhongruan and zheng.
