Change to mask guidelines in Libraries effective Monday 3/21/22

  • This message is more than 6 months old and the information may be out of date

Masks are welcome and encouraged, but not required, in Williams Libraries for all fully vaccinated and boosted staff and users beginning when we open the libraries’ doors on Monday 3/21/22. This is in line with the current campus guidelines, that “fully vaccinated and boosted faculty, staff and students may choose to unmask in academic and administrative buildings.”  In the case of campus libraries this mask guidance will also include non-Williams visitors. While the classroom mask requirement for students remains in effect, this mask requirement will also be the case in library classrooms during classes. Students will be expected to wear their masks during classes in library buildings. As always, such guidance is based on the public health situation on our campus and in our region. Should conditions warrant it we may reverse this and tighten masking and other  guidelines in the future.
