Ned Sullivan will describe and illustrate tangible environmental progress resulting from collaborative initiatives in the Hudson Valley despite the dramatic change in the federal regulatory environment. He will provide visuals of waterfront parks and mixed-use development, preserved agricultural lands in the farm-to-table sector, and forests and wetlands securing key habitat in the face of climate change and describe progress in safeguarding the Hudson River and Valley despite a major upsurge in crude oil transportation, and in promoting renewable energy, and cleaning up the toxic legacy of contamination of the river. Joseph Cotter will discuss and illustrate his success in the private sector transforming contaminated, abandoned industrial sites into vibrant mixed use developments. Lindi von Mutius will describe her experience at the Environmental Defense Fund.
