Animal Tracking Adventure in Hopkins Forest with Naturalist Dan Yacobellis

  • This event has passed.

Hopkins Forest is home to dozens of mammal species in the winter and you can expect to see tracks of squirrel, rabbit, voles, shrews, fox, raccoons, deer, coyote and more.  With luck we might even get on the track of an elusive fisher or bobcat.  The program will begin in the Rosenburg Center and then move outside to follow tracks.  Tracking is a slow moving endeavor so you should dress very warmly and wear good, water-resistant footwear.  There will be hot drinks and snacks but bringing additional snacks and a water bottle is recommended.

There will be full day or half-day options (10:00-12:30 and 1:00-3:30).  Please e-mail or call to state your preference and reserve a slot: dlewis@williams.edu, 413-597-2346.

Shuttle rides (round trip) for this event will leave from Paresky (Park Street) at 9:55 and 12:55.
