Abdoulaye Diabate: Music of Mali

Originally from Mali, Abdoulaye Diabate was raised in the heart of the Jali (Griot) tradition. With his passionate voice and overflowing energy he sings traditional West African tales that recount histories, genealogy and praise to patrons. His ensemble includes the traditional African instruments of kora, ngoni, djembe, and bala, as well as guitar, and flute.
