A Talk by Fr. Frank Clooney, S.J.: A Catholic Intellectual Reflects on Interfaith Learning

Francis X. Clooney, S.J. has helped develop the field of comparative theology as an expert in the theological commentarial writings in the Sanskrit and Tamil traditions of Hindu India. He is a Jesuit priest, a professor at Harvard Divinity School, and the current President of the Catholic Theological Society of America.

During his talk, which will take place in the basement of Thompson Memorial Chapel, Fr. Clooney will reflect on 50 years of studying Hinduism and the possibilities of Interfaith Learning. Q&A will follow.

He will also be the celebrant at the 8 PM Catholic Mass for Ash Wednesday in Thompson Memorial Chapel.
